THE 18TH CENTURY CLUB ARE GOING TO WATERLOO
(Brussels of course not the station)
-
A handful of the 18th Century Club are boarding a horseless carriage and armed with only a hamper of sweetmeats and a good bottle of vintage claret they are heading to the hallowed fields of Waterloo. There will be much fun and frolics all caught (sobriety permitting) in pictogram form. Huzzah to us all! What could possibly go wrong?
We would be most honored if you would take the time to sign the Guestbook we do so very much appreciate any of your comments:

The Club raise their glasses this week to honor the passing of a most renowned man of letters. Author of the superb Burma War memoir, "Quartered Safe Out Here" and, most famously, the very splendid Flashman novels. In the character of Flashman, Fraser gave us a cad, bounder, boozer, philanderer, accidental hero of the Empire, and in the words of the Viscount: "A hero I can actually relate to."
George MacDonald Fraser, OBE. 1925-2008.
We salute you.
